Gilded Stitch is the brand, Skyler Cole is the artist behind the work.

Skyler is a professional textile artist with a BFA in textiles and fashion. They have been fabricating from scratch, cosplay costumes for clients since 2018, and weddings since 2023. Skyler has also worked on some smaller theater productions in the Portland area and enjoys dabbling in anything theatrical or just for fun.

Known for their high-craftsmanship skills, and for their work on never creating the same Howl jacket twice! Their passion lies in elevating every project they take on with exquisite details- think textural hand beading, use of ornate and fantastical lace, and custom embroidery. A simple design to Skyler is always made into something with plenty of detail, that sparkle in the sunlight and catch the attention of the room.

Skyler is inspired by nature, paintings and by past decades of fashion. Currently they have found a deep love and connection to historical garment making techniques and specifically Chinese Hanfu. They found this through their love of the novel Mo Dao Zu Shi by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (墨香铜臭). Which then lead them down the path of researching more about Chinese clothing and the Chinese culture, histories and folklore.

Most importantly Skyler is a daydreamer, with a desire to bring fantasy worlds to life.
